"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.' (Colossians 3:17, NKJV)
On November 3rd, 2020, the Presidential elections in the United States of America will take place. This will be the most important political event in the US. Although it is dubbed Presidential Elections, it is really about the survival of the US as God intended and the agendas of the Democratic and Republican parties. As Christians, a lackadaisical attitude towards the elections will not suffice. Christian citizens and non-citizens of USA have important roles to play.
Citizens of the US who are Christians should pray, exercise their citizenship rights and vote; Christians who are non-citizens of the US should pray. The basic prayer should be that the will of God should be done and for the presidential candidate from the party with the right and godly agenda should win. We must not be complacent; we must be pro-active. If we are going to vote right and pray right, we must know what each political party stands for. Below are three links to documents that will give you such information.
Comparison of Party Platforms 1
- God is pro-law and order
- God is pro-life
